| Bio: | Hello! Welcome to Mariole's "mostly fanfic" journal. I don't do a lot of posting, except for stories -- although I love to keep up with what my LJ friends are doing. Friending: You don't have to ask permission to friend me, but you won't find anything that isn't public here except for the odd beta request. I don't often friend back because I hate feeling behind, and it's just too hard for me to try to keep up with everyone. My friends list is pretty much my regular reading list, as that is all I'm able to manage somewhat gracefully. Thank you for understanding. Content: What you will find in my journal is mostly Lord of the Rings fanfiction. I have an aversion to specializing, so content pretty much runs the gamut -- from G-rated fics and Shire romps appropriate for any audience, to canon gap-fillers, to strong adult situations (het, slash, interspecies, and sometimes all of them together). Nearly everything has some humor, but I write drama, romance, action/adventure, h/c, and angst, the common element being that it is typically centered around Frodo. So you will find Frodo and various hobbits, Frodo and various Men (usually Aragorn), but not many Elves. They make Special Guest Appearances, and that's about it. All stories are based on fictional characters only. Caution for underage readers: All my stories are clearly labeled for rating, genre, and pairing (if applicable). Because I often post adult material, I request that you watch out for the ratings and warnings. Please do not access any strong adult material unless you are over age 18. I'm sorry, but this rule applies even if your country considers a younger age "adult". LJ apparently considers age 18 the legal adult age, regardless of local rules. Update November 30, 2007: LJ has implemented a new system of ratings to restrict content viewing. I will update individual entries as time permits. For the present, read the warnings that already appear on every story entry, and choose whether you want to view that entry. Thank you. Lately, I have written a couple of historical AUs based on The Beatles. These stories are appropriate for all but the youngest readers (minimal swearing in both, and violence in the second). Finding a particular story: To help you manage the swarm, I have listed all my fics in my Memorable Entries. Stories are classified by slash, gen, silliness, and rating. Some of my stories might have both slash and gen elements and appear in both lists. "Devoted" has so many chapters that it has its own category. I hope my attempt at organization will help you locate fics that are more to your taste. I have started adding tags to my entries, but only entries from about the second half of 2007 are so marked. Please continue to use the Memories link for most older content. And in conclusion... Comments are always appreciated. Everyone has been so kind.
