Devoted is being worked
Dear readers of Devoted,

I just wanted to drop you a note that I am working on the next set of chapters. There are some tricky timing and interpersonal issues, that I feel I need to develop as a set. So more will be coming soon, but I need to get the next bits worked out in a bunch.

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement! This story was a dramatic experiment for me. I'm delighted that it has been so well received. Thanks, all of you, for routinely making my day!

I'm typing now! Cheers,
Mariole

As long as your typing....

;)

It's well worth waiting for, and I'm curious as to which "interpersonal" issues need working on. Ah, well, it gives me somthing to think about.

If you guess correctly, I will send you a free gift. *feels nervous, because you're a really good guesser...* Thanks! I'm typing!

OK, so are we talking a couple of days here? A week? Two? Geez! Remember, we need to do some angst management on our side of things!

:-D

(I *hope* you know I'm just kidding!) Thanks for the heads up. Anxiously awaiting the next bunch of installments. (and I'm *not* kidding about that!)

Hewene

No problem, Hewene! Anxiety is eagerly accepted. (huh?)

I'm thinking 2-3 days, but it really depends upon my betas. If they get slugged with a super giant chapter, it might take them a little while. But they do a wonderful job, so I need to finish this set of scenes and get it off to them. And then we shall see. Thanks!

Thank you, Ruby. I've been enjoying posting as I go, but I think this one needs a little more forethought. I have charts and timelines and (thanks to Mel) the Atlas of Middle Earth at my elbow. How far can a laden African swallow travel in an evening? These things must be answered. But I'm working on it! (hugs)

Will wait as long as it takes! I know I don't give feedback nearly as often as I should but I just can't always think of new ways to say, "I love it. I love it. Gimme more please." *G*

Seriously, I really like how this story is developing and am looking forward to seeing where you'll take us next!

Thank you for popping in, Melian! I realize that it's hard to comment on a WIP, also -- how do you know if you really will like it? I have to admit that the comments do keep me focused, and often raise new ideas. But sometimes I have to stand back and put together a longer sequence, or it just won't come out right. I'm hopeful that the next bit will come together soon; I just beat off work with a stick, so I should be pretty free. Thank goodness for parttime work!

Cheers!

You are an absolute marvel. So many excellent chapters have been posted in such close order that I have been empressed with your speed and the quality of your writing. Whatever you write and whenever you post it, it will be worth the wait and the read. Take however much time you need -- I'll be checking in for the updates.

(((Lee))) Thank you! I'm pushing the envelope a little bit -- we'll have to see how it goes. Thank you for your encouragement and kind words. I do appreciate it.

Mmmm, nothing like the smell of a pushed envelope early in the morning. Good luck! Thanks for letting us know how it's going; if we can't get new installments, that's the next best thing.

Once more, I am *loving* this story!

Thank *you* for writing this wonderful story. I need to catch up on the last few chapters you have posted, but I'm still following your story eagerly. Take your time because the effort will be worthwhile.
